How we get ahead of the permit: OCC only publishes drilling permits once they're approved — we confirmed this against all 404,634 records in their master file, and not one is unapproved. So instead of waiting on permits, the radar now watches the filings that come before them: Corporation Commission spacing, pooling and location-exception cases, plus drilling-water permits. Those land months ahead of the permit. Approval currently lags filing by – days on average — that's the gap these earlier sources close. See every source and how early it is →
